For calculating the structural strength margins of the load bearing constructions of a passenger and food transport elevator, Femap with NX Nastran was used. Parametrical solid models and the corresponding FE models were built for testing the behavior of the structures during a shock impact. Based on analyses results the customer received advice on the design and installation procedures.
